Posturio

The purpose of Posturio: its aim is to force you to maintain proper posture over time during the study or close work while sitting at your desk. The position of the body during study or work at close distance is essential for maintaining a good visual efficiency, to avoid unpleasant ametropic deterioration as myopia, asthenopeic symptoms such as headaches, burning eyes, ocular tension, red eyes , lacrimation, visual blurring, etc. It is fundamental to maintain the correct position of the back, the right distance from the reading plane and the light coming from the opposite side of the writing hand.

inclination of the table equal to 20° to the plane of the desk is placed on.

Using Posturio: it should be placed on your desk and the considerable width of the table allows you to easily and comfortably put both arms on the table. Studying standing upright with your back and see that the table arrives at your stomach. The elastic thread will prevent you approach too to the table during the study.

Using posturio and a correct light, possibly bluish, about 60 watts (keeping the light of the room on) coming from behind or laterally opposite the hand used to write (to avoid the glare of the pages and shadows) and not from above or from the front. Do not study in the dark room using only the light on the table.

Behavioral Optometry: is the branch of optometry that deals with the functional recovery of the visual system using refractive aids such as glasses and/or corneal contact lenses, magnifying aids for the visually impaired persons, visual education exercises and whatever else may be necessary to resolve the vision problem. The visual aspect of education is treated in an organic and complete document (DLS) to fight asthenopia. This one is divided into simple and complex type. The first occurs in the absence of ametropia, the second in the presence of it. The most common ametropia in cases of visual stress is myopia. Fighting asthenopeic symptoms and improving the behavioral aspect of the individual is able to sort out many visual problems associated with them: functional myopia (not pathological), learning difficulties, poor natural vision. Here it is stressed the importance of behavior with regard to study or work at close distance in general. The methods of visual education, then, are tools to improve behavioral visual skills training them with visual visual-intellectual exercises and at the same time with instruction to correct visual-postural behavior at close distance, but above all are methods designed to prevent visual deterioration and to improve school/work performances.
